HEAR and San Proper have put their heads together for a new collaborative EP on label Naissance Musik.
Berlin-based Canadian HEAR started the imprint in 2016 with a release from his Dream Scoring project. For the label's second release he recruited San Proper, a name well known to dance music fans thanks to distinguished releases on Perlon and Dekmantel, to create four slices of idiosyncratic dance music.
The Rush Hour affiliate’s signature psychedelic take on dance music shines through on the ‘Elephantoms’ EP, which comes out later this month. Noodly guitar, tripped out vocals and a healthy dose of groove is littered throughout the release which consisting of tracks guaranteed to give your mind just as much of a workout as your feet.
'Up The Hill' is the EP's hypnotic opener, capturing the listener in a cycle of shuffling drums and laidback piano as it lurches from one hazy drop to another.
