Premiere: Gerd Janson & Shan deliver intoxicating disco bliss on ReGraded

ReGraded has made quite an impact in its short lifespan.

After debuting in 2015 with founder Midland’s lush ‘Double Feature’ EP, the imprint has gone to release Hubie Davison’s exultant and once ubiquitous club hit ‘Sanctified’, and another from Midland – the world-conquering ‘Final Credits’ that sat atop the pile in our Top Tracks of 2016 after soundtracking countless moments of euphoria last year.

Midland was inspired to start the label after seeing Gerd Janson play at Panorama Bar, as detailed in our Gold feature last summer, so the next release marks a fitting landmark for the outlet. Gerd Janson has linked up with Shan to deliver a collaborative work that channels the potent vibe and energy of the night that galvanised the birth of ReGraded.

‘Surrender’ on the A-side is rich with emotional resonance, combining heartfelt vocal samples with deep, warm and ecstatic disco textures. ReGraded is back to rule your summer once again.
