Premiere: Catz 'N Dogz deliver the essence of house with 'It's Happening'

Catz 'N Dogz take to their Pets Recordings imprint once again to release two new tracks, including the house-centric, dancefloor-focused ‘It’s Happening’.

Since launching in 2010, Pets has been a model of success, not only releasing the bulk of the duo’s quality output, but also showcasing top players in the industry including Eats Everything, HNNY, KiNK and Walker & Royce among others.

Now as they deliver their third release on the label this year alone, Catz 'N Dogz turn their attention to what they refer to as “the essence of the house groove” with ‘It’s Happening’.

An infectious bassline lies at the heart of the new track, which the duo said is an important aspect of dance music they sought to highlight: “I think you can hear immediately what is inspiring us in house music. The groove, the filtered chords, samples and old school soul feeling that is hard to describe and hard to find these days.

"For us, it’s a fundament of house music and the groove. We are very happy from this track that we managed to squeeze the soul and the feeling in our studio. Was fun to work on this one and we were testing it since a year before the final mixdown to have it perfect.”
