Due for release tomorrow, December 2, the brand new remix sees Pete Tong pair up with London-based producer John Monkman, a good friend of both Duran Duran and the BBC Radio 1 DJ.
‘Give It All Up’ was first released in 2021 as part of Duran Duran’s 15th studio album ‘FUTURE PAST’ featuring Sweden’s Tove Lo. The record marked the band’s highest charting album in some 16 years.
The track layers atmospheric sonic soundscapes with Duran Duran’s timeless style, creating an uplifting take on the much-loved original track.
Upon release, the Erol Alkan-produced record gained momentum with tracks including ‘Beautiful Lies’ and ‘Tonight United’. The 12-tracker also featured Italian composer and producer Giorgio Moroder, who helped to create a number of tracks on ‘FUTURE PAST’.
‘FUTURE PAST’ was recorded across multiple studios in both London and LA over lockdown. The album marked Duran Duran’s 15th and their first in some six years following 2015’s ‘Paper Gods’.
Pete Tong recently joined the British rock legends in Ibiza as part of their Touch The Sunrise immersive experience that helped to kickstart International Music Summit (IMS) in April this year.
Earlier this month, Duran Duran were inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles after winning a fan vote. Speaking at the ceremony, Duran Duran’s lead vocalist Simon Le Bon said: “What an absolute honour it was to be nominated, let alone be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
“There’s nothing that comes close to such recognition. You can dream about what happened to us but to experience it, on one’s own terms, as mates, was beyond incredible,” he said.
