Paris club Dehors Brut reopens after being shut down last month

Paris club, Dehors Brut, reopens this weekend after being shut down by authorities due to a drug-related death that occurred outside of the venue in early September.

Dehors Brut originally opened as a temporary replacement for Concrete which faced closure after a lease agreement issue. Police then closed down the venue just four hours before their scheduled programming on September 6 and proceeded to cancel all impending events.

Organizers of the club, the former owners of Paris venue Concrete, fought back against the closure, forming a petition signed by artists, organizers, and nightlife professionals in the community. The plea criticized the repression of nightlife venues and promoted the prevention of drug-related incidents.

Coming back to the scene with their "strong and unique nights," the venue will feature Cabanne and Varhat this Saturday, October 5th. The upcoming weekend will showcase sets by Colin Benders, Margaret Dygas, and Motor City Drum Ensemble.
