Oneman in The Lab LDN

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.

This Thursday we’ve got Oneman taking the reins in The Lab LDN to play a set of undoubtedly fiery cuts.

The South London-born selector was raised on pirate radio and formed as a DJ in the midst of the dubstep scene that dominated the city in the 2000s. But he’s never been a single genre spinner. Far from it, making his mark in the early days with a heavy garage influence in his sets, and since spreading his wings to all corners of the club-primed spectrum from grime and funky to US hip hop.

As a DJ first and foremost, without a back catalogue of his own productions, Oneman has always used his remarkable blends to make a strong impression. In a way, making new tracks with the unique manner in which he mixes two together. His skills on-deck have seen him hold a Rinse FM slot since 2007, and earlier this summer he was invited to take charge of XOYO’s esteemed 12-week residency stint, inviting greats such as Kode9, Todd Edwards and Ben UFO along for the ride. We can’t wait to see the chaos he causes in The Lab.

This week's Lab LDN kicks off at 5pm BST and you can tune in live over on our Facebook page or re-watch here

The final two dates of Oneman’s XOYO residency take place on September 16 and September 23, with Sam Gallaitry, Digital Mystikz, Plastician and more set to perform
