Oneman, CiCi, Zokhuma & Stimuli in the Lab Mumbai

Mixmag and BUDX are proud to partner on a groundbreaking new Lab destination: The Lab Mumbai.

Taking place at the intimate space of AntiSOCIAL, located in the warehouse in Todi Mill, Mumbai, The Lab Mumbai will livestream some of the world’s most exciting talents of house, techno and other electronic varieties.

On February 13th we welcome UK stalwart Oneman to perform alongside rising international talent CiCi. Joining them will be Zokhuma and Ankit Singhvi.

Oneman is known as a DJ’s DJ that has the unique ability to blend multiple sounds into one of a kind mixes every time. He relies on record selections and does not intentionally stick to one particular sound or style. Instead, he allows the rhythm and breaks to flow with consistency throughout his sets. While he started out mixing UK garage, bass and dubstep, he has evolved over time to be a diverse DJ similar to his contemporaries, Ben UFO and Kode9.

CiCi is a spiritual DJ with an eclectic musical background. Growing up as a fine arts student in Dublin, she has welcomed multiple genres into her repertoire allowing her style to evolve naturally with time. An influx of infectious Ibiza energy has majorly influenced her overall style of music. After one season, she says that it changed her life and relationship with herself. She fills regular spots as a resident for Cosmic Pineapple at Pikes and also at The Zoo Project. While currently residing in London, she is now working on a debut EP and her interesting blend of house, techno, and a resonating Balearic echo will continue to develop over time.

Zokhuma is a young talent with an experimental background. His musical approach relies on moody psychedelic undertones and indie electronica that takes us to happier realms. Interlaced with this, and at the forefront of his sound, are choppy blends of Afro beat and subtle percussion, taking us back and forth between beat and break. He has embodied the name Zokhuma – a calling to his father’s family’s roots in Mizoram, India and a path to true creative freedom. Expect the composer to break through traditional modes of expression and gain access to new soundscapes.

Stimuli is an extremely versatile DJ and his mixture of deep, progressive and tech house has won him plaudits all over India. With over a decade's experience under his belt, Stimuli's set will be loaded with musical knowledge and technical prowess.
