Novesta reveals eye-catching collection for SS19

Novesta is a brand you’re probably aware of who for the last 80 years has been making excellent, sustainable footwear to suit an array of occasions. They’re shoes that look as great with shorts as they do with trousers and come in so many colours you’d never be stuck for choice.

Founded in 1939, famous shoemaker Jan Antonin Bata opened the Novesta factory in the small town of Partizánske in the heart of Slovakia. Forging a reputation for producing well-made, robust footwear, the brand soon supplied military footwear in the form of their iconic silhouette the Star Master. Flash forward 80 years and the Star Masters are now being worn by the likes of Liam Gallagher and Travis Scott, and have even undergone collaborations with the likes of Comme des Garçons, Universal Works and Hikerdelic, to name a few.

Not only has Novesta’s footwear become one of the most recognisable across the world over the past few years, the brand were recently awarded PETA-certification - meaning their product is 100% vegan-friendly. Everything Novesta does is done with care for the environment, starting with energy from renewable sources (the brand uses wooden chips to warm its buildings) and using certified eco-materials like naturally-sourced rubber.

Now for SS19 it’s all about colour with an array of coloured outsoles added to the ever-growing collection. From vibrant oranges and powerful yellows, to rich reds and baby blues, there’s a colourway for all occasions. To go alongside the Star Master, Novesta has also re-introduced its MARATHON model in various colourways too.

The collection is available now from www.gonovesta.com, as well as at the likes of Oi Polloi, End Clothing and The Hip Store.
