Nick León and Erika de Casier provide transcendent summer energy on 'Bikini'

Nick León and Erika de Casier have teamed up to share a new single via TraTraTrax, 'Bikini'.

A collaboration between the pair feels definitive having flirted with edits and remixes over the years (León namely reshaped de Casier's 'Friendly' back in 2021 and the pair co-produced 'Ex-Girlfriend' featuring Shygirl on de Casier's latest album), 'Bikini' is a transcendent affair, floating between elements of dembow and trance at serious pace.

"I met @erikadecasier & @nycsuave on the same night in Mexico City 2 years ago," León wrote on his Instagram. "I’ve been so grateful to get to know them both since and become friends who meet up in different parts of the world (will never forget our pool day at the Standard). 1 year after meeting, Sammy & I started this beat in his nyc basement that I would end up reworking a bit and sending to Erika, who so generously shared such a beautiful take on the poetry of the beach & love. Flash forward another year to summer 2024 and #bikiniszn is here."

Refreshing as it shifts through sounds of the ocean at the beginning giving way to gentle dembow rhythms and a sweetly-woven, gentle vocal, the senses 'Bikini' evokes are heightened by its accompanying artwork:
