New nightclub to open in former casino in Berlin, AMT
The 1,000-capacity venue will open in Alexanderplatz next month
A brand new nightclub is set to open next month in Berlin on the site of a former casino, German publication Tagesspiegel reports.
The new venue will reportedly occupy a space under the train arches of Alexanderplatz, the city’s central station, moving out a late-night convenience store from its current location.
Named AMT, the club is set to have a capacity of 1,000 and will feature a darkroom, two dancefloors, and a chill out area, according to Tagesspiegel.

No details have been revealed around the club’s opening parties yet, though it’s said to be launching at the start of March with a run of smaller, more intimate parties.
The space – which sits opposite the Berolinahaus, a famous, eight storey office block and retail building – has been renovated over a number of months, and will feature custom-built soundsystems from Berlin’s Kirsch Audio across both of its dancefloors.
German restaurateur and mixologist Robert Havemann is reportedly behind the new club, along with a larger team. His current projects include a high-end cocktail bar in Neukölln, and a restaurant and bar in Lichtenburg.

Tagesspiegel reports that the venue will focus on electronic events by bringing in DJs and collectives who will organise parties, and will also host sex parties and queer club nights.
In recent years, Berlin has seen a decline in the number of nightclubs across the capital. The closure of long-standing venues like Watergate and SchwuZ, Berlin’s “oldest” queer club, was recently documented in a film titled Danced Out?.
After announcing its closure last year and celebrating its 18-year stint with an 86-hour closing party, Renate revealed that it will return in 2026 after reaching a new rental agreement.
