New Leeds venue Mint XL reveals first-look photos of 2,500-capacity club
Coming from the team behind Mint Club, the new venue's official launch party has also been announced for September
Brand new Leeds venue Mint XL, which comes from the team behind the city’s beloved Mint Club, has revealed a series of first-look photos of the space.
Originally slated to open as a 2,000-capacity venue, owners have now confirmed that it will hold an additional 500 people and will debut this autumn in the heart of the city.
The location of Mint XL has now been revealed, taking over the former PRYZM nightclub site on Woodhouse Lane, which is currently undergoing “extensive redevelopment and full-scale renovation”.

The new venue will be located within the Merrion Centre in Leeds’ city centre, which the team says is close to two universities and “key nightlife and transport links”.
The official launch party for Mint XL has also been announced, set to take place on Friday, September 25. Line-ups for the opening event have yet to be revealed.
Mint XL comes from the team behind Mint Festival, Mint Warehouse, and the flagship Mint Club, which closed in 2018 after 20 years due to developments.

Mint XL will feature multiple rooms and will operate with a “strict” no-phone policy on its dancefloors to “keep the focus on the music”, banning photos and videos.
The main rooms will flaunt Funktion-One Vero soundsystems with a promise of bringing “high-spec” production throughout the venue, making it the “most ambitious” project from the Mint team to date.
The venue will reportedly host a range of events with a focus on dance music, while its programming will lean into extended sets and longer live performances.
