The Cause open new multipurpose events space in East London

The Cause have shared details of their brand new multipurpose events space in London, described as an “industrial blank canvas”.

Revealing the news on Instagram yesterday (March 25), The Cause explained that the new space will be available to hire, but will also play host to the occasional party.

“What started as a one-room pulse in Totty grew into something that refused to sit still,” they said. “We shifted walls, took on new homes and expanded from just a club.”

“Bending spaces into whatever the moment demanded, from intimate dancefloors to bars, record shops to your next top music video or just the casual late-night confessional. Now we go again.”

Though few details have been revealed around the venue just yet, the space looks to sit amongst its Docklands complex, and is said to measure 43 metres in length, nine metres wide by nine metres heigh ceilings, making it an ideal location for “shoots, builds, exhibitions and pop-ups”.

“Whether you’re a location scout on the lookout for the next Guy Ritchie gangster flick or an up-and-coming artist looking to film a music video, this space has you covered,” they said.

The space will host its first event on Easter Friday (April 3), as part of a multi-space day party utilising “the entire footprint of our Docklands home”, with eight dancefloors and multiple soundsystems across the site.

The new venue is the latest venture from The Cause, who have expanded throughout London in recent years with music bar All My Friends, pubs The Greyhound and Marquee Moon, and intimate loft venue Vittoria Wharf.
