Mr G's planning a 'Night On The Town' in September

The UK stalwart is dropping another new album

Mr G will release a new album in September.

The long-serving tech-house artist has named the eight-track offering 'Night On The Town?'. It comes just a year after his last major piece of work, the stunning 'Personal Momentz'.

G, real name Colin McBean, is remarkably prolific, busting out 12" singles at a rate of knots for labels such as Bass Culture, Rekids and Running Back. It comes as no surprise then that he's got another full length ready. Hell, we always want more from a producer who makes such crucial dance music.

Of the forthcoming album, he said: "Thought I'd try something different as I had the feeling I should. This album is meant to be played pre-party or best when you're still buzzing from a great DJ set and wanna change your vibe yet still stay up. I'm pleased with the outcome as it gives a very different vision of me."

From what we've heard of it, it's a little duskier than his previous work, each tune a rhythmic wriggler that will, as he says, keep you up.

It drops on September 15 via his Pheonix G imprint on vinyl, CD and, intriguingly, DVD. Tracklist below.
