Moog wants your recordings for a modular synth

Wherever you are in the world, your sounds could feature on the Global Modular

Synth manufacturer Moog is requesting field recordings from around the world for a new project.

The sounds that are submitted and accepted will then be used to make up a selection of custom modular synths as part of The Global Synthesizer Project, which London-based artist Yuri Suzuki is involved in.

Once the audio has been collected and installed into the Moog-designed synths, the individual modules will combine to make the Global Modular, shaped in the map of the world. Wherever the sounds were recorded, they'll feature on that part of the map, of course.

[email protected] is the address to send recordings to and you can find out more about the project (which will be presented at Moogfest in May) below.
