Moog launches flagship new polysynth Muse
The eight-voice analogue polyphonic synthesiser is now available globally
Moog has launched its flagship new polyphonic synthesiser Muse.
Muse is an eight-voice analogue synth, a flagship release for Moog described as “the culmination of over five years of dreams, design, and passion.”
The “intuitive and powerful instrument” combines Moog’s classic analog circuits with new advanced controls, making it Moog’s first polysynth since the Moog One.

The synth is built around its eight analog voices, each with "two VCOs, a modulation VCO, dual VCFs, and a stereo VCA— all with that recognizable, kinetic analog quality.”
At a playing level, Muse features a huge array of sounds, with 16 banks which each contain 16 patches, complete with sounds ranging from classic pads and leads, as well as “organic FM plucks, subterranean basses and stage-oriented key splits” with “2 banks reserved for your own sonic discoveries”.
The hardware also contains an arpeggiator and sequencer complete with a generative function and detailed note editing capabilities, as well as cutting edge digital controls including flexible LFOs and customisable envelopes.
The product is primarily aimed at musicians, as well as for producers and sound designers, with its 61 key Fatar keyboard featuring velocity control and channel aftertouch as well as pitch and modulation wheels, giving the instrument equal capabilities for live performance and creations in the studio.
The Muse marks Moog’s first major product to be launched following the brand’s new ownership by inMusic, marking a new turn for the company.
