The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.
This week Joseph Mount from Metronomy is taking us back in time with a special ‘Summer 08 DJ set’.
Since its inception, Metronomy has grown from a solo bedroom project from a teenaged Mount to a fully-fledged multiple-membered band. Through each stage of the project’s evolution, which also included a three-piece Kraftwerk-esque setup, Metronomy has retained an energetic songwriting sensibility that appeals to the world of dance music.
The series of DJ sets Metronomy’s frontman is now embarking on will take these productions to a new level of club-readiness. Tracks from the new album 'Summer 08' like ‘Night Owl’ and ‘Old Skool’ and gems from the group’s back catalogue will be reworked and remixed for an enhanced dancefloor experience. Not one to be missed!
