Maxsta & Boothroyd

Taken from a six-track EP featuring Maxsta, grime kingpin Maniac and Tri Angle's Boothroyd, 'No Surrender' is an incredible track.

It's a taste of the future, no doubt, but also proves that grime's different worlds can collide – and make sense. Boothroyd's left-field programming – off-kilter rhythms, detuned square waves and harsh, icy FX – is the perfect foil for Maxsta to run riot for nearly three minutes.

On paper, it's one of the year's more surprising collabs, but the full EP is inspired and proves grime is one of the most fluid and exciting scenes out there.
