Mathew Jonson's Fabric offering is a bit different: it was recorded live at Fabric's 15th birthday party, with the Canadian techno DJ donning a rabbit costume for his set. Staying faithful to his usual MO, Jonson delves into his production and remix canon for all 20 tracks. And he doesn't mess about, jumping in with the atmospheric, heads-down dark tech of Cobblestone Jazz's 'Northern Lights' and the acid-soaked assault of his own 'Automaton'. Continuing with a re-rub of Subb-an's 'Say No More' before culminating in the dubby reworking of Inner City's 'Good Life', the mix ditches strut for bounce as it unfolds – which, given Jonson's get-up, seems appropriate.
