Sub Club have finally got round to launching a label, and for the inaugural release, they've chosen four of Scotland's most respected producers to give us a sneak preview of what to expect from the label. After releases on R&S, Soma and Vakant, Alex Smoke gives us the moody textured intensity of 'Straits'. Vince Watson shows us why he's released on Planet E, Poker Flat, Ovum and Cocoon with his stunning, emotive 'Subculture Story', a fitting tribute to Harri and Domenic's long-standing Saturday night at the Subbie. Stephen Lopkin's 'Farewell G41' is a tech-tinged, analogue wonder, and finally Lord Of The Isles gives us the driving fervour of 'Xit.' We'll be watching this label grow with great interest.
