Feisty take on the duo's hazy track 'The Clown'
With their debut album due in June, Maribou State recently released the 'Rituals' single to keep us tiding over until then.
As with their previous material like the gushing 'Scarlett Groove' and synth-screwing 'Tongue', the Hertfordshire duo served up more luscious grooves with 'Rituals'. What's more, it was released on Ninja Tune-affiliated label Counter Records, following their association with Southern Fried Records.
Now that's out, attention turns to the album, 'Portraits', coming on June 1, and they recently unveiled Pedestrian-featuring 'The Clown', another polished to precision production.
Aus Music affiliate Tom Demac's remixed it and, despite retaining the organ-like chords and smokey vocals, gives it a whole new appearance. Rather than a hazy sun lounger, Demac ensures this one's destined for the dancefloor.
