Mandar

When Mandar came into the Lab LDN back in April, they provided us with an excellent showcase of tech. It goes to show that when three become one, it's a powerful thing and Lazare Hoche, S.A.M and Malin Genie have got heaps of chemistry when it comes to performing and producing.

As live performers, they meddle with analogue equipment on stage to create grooving, bumping minimal tech house and there's always an element of class and flare woven in.

They're about to release their debut, self-titled album which comes on their own label Oscillat Music and if you're a vinyl fan then you're in for a treat. The 5 vinyl box set will arrive on September 30 and we've got a premiere from the LP to present to you now.

'FFF3' is our favourite from the record and for good reason. Although it starts off with a menacing, oscillating riff and pounding kicks it progresses to show off serene synths and delicate clicks and claps. It's aimed at the floor and sits perfectly within the LP.

The album is one of our favourites of the year and alongside their lab, the Mandar boys have shown us exactly why they're such hot property at the moment.
