Manchester festival and music forum Beyond The music announces second wave line-up
Taking place in the city's Northern Quarter, three days of live music are set to be complemented by keynotes, networking sessions and more
Manchester-based new music festival Beyond The Music has announced its second-wave line-up ahead of the three day event taking place between October 9 and 12 this year.
Taking over the city's Northern Quarter, the festival has shared a plethora of stage curators including BBC Introducing, Nice Swan Records, Manchester Pride and From Manchester to Palestine who invite artists across the musical spectrum. And, in partnership with local promoter and touring agency, Greyline, Beyond The Music has provided two young promoters with their own stage to programme across the three days to assert its effort to support Manchester New Tastemakers.
New artists added to the line-up - and you can check out the full programming here - include Human Interest, Low Pulse (Joey T & Lady Lady), Renee Stormz, Adjua and Alien Chicks.

“Our festival is all about supporting the new wave of music talent,” explains founder Oli Wilson. “We haven't booked headliners, we've selected this line-up with an amazing range of curators and also from several thousand new artists that applied to play this year.
“From going through that process and booking the festival it seems like there is a revolution pending in music and we're really proud to be able to give a platform to this new generation of musicians. The talent isn’t just in one genre, it’s in every genre, and we’re representing that diverse mix of music and people in the festival.
“I’m really proud of the curators from across the musical spectrum that have come together to be a part of it, from BBC Introducing to local labels like NQ, Melodic and Nice Swan, independent festivals and promoters like Dot to Dot and Moovin, grime cypher with Raise The Bar, Manchester Pride and South Asian Music Summit are all stages I'm looking forward to.
“It's not just about the artists and the venues it's about the place too.. I think people are really going to enjoy exploring the Northern Quarter and venues over the three days. It's an historic district and our festival map contains some of the best and most interesting music spaces in the world."
