Magic mushroom service centers are going to be introduced in Oregon
Psilocybin service centers are going to be introduced to the US state from 2023
Magic mushroom service centers are going to be introduced in Oregon.
The US state will allow psilocybin service centers to distribute the drug from 2023. The centers will also be allowed to practice psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy.
The shroom centers have been given the OK by Oregon's Ballot Measure 109, which passed in November 2020.
The measure was the work of an Oregon advocacy group founded by two psychotherapists. It will allow the state to set up a network of psilocybin service centers that will safely give psilocybin to adults in order to treat mental health and substance abuse treatment.

This follows on from Oregon decriminalising drugs last year.
The use of drugs like ketamine and LSD for therapy continues to become more mainstream – the UK's first ketamine clinic recently opened in Bristol.
