Love Record stores is back for 2021
Releases from Soul Wax, Shame, Arlo Parks and many others are available
Love Record Stores is back for 2021 after the success of last year's campaign.
More than £1 million was raised when the initiative was launched in June last year, aiming to tackle the financial difficulties that record stores have faced as a result of the pandemic.

Over 220 independent record retailers are set to take part in the event this year, with the 2021 edition being scheduled for September 4. 54 new editions of existing vinyl will be available to purchase on the day, either in-store or online at 9:AM or 9:PM respectively.
Sharon Van Etten, Shame, Arlo Parks, Juline Baker and a number of others will all be releasing special editions of their music as part of this year's event.
Speaking about the event, Georgia, the Love Record Stores ambassador for 2021, said:
“The Love Record Stores list of exclusive vinyl products is out so you can start saving your £££s now and go and support our best and most beloved cultural institution – the record store! From Savage Gary to Arlo Parks to Shame From Black Country, New Road to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, there’s so much to get excited about.”

She went on to discuss the effects of the pandemic on the general public and the music industry, saying:
“This last year or so has been tough for us all, especially for our independent shops and we’ve got to be there to help our musical community in whatever way we can. Buy a record for yourself- you deserve it! Buy a record for a friend, for a fan, for your little brother… a good record can change someone’s life forever!”
