Live Nation cancels drive-in concert tour

Live Nation has cancelled a planned series of drive-in concerts that were due to play this summer.

Artists such as The Streets, Dizzee Rascal and Sigala were due to play across 12 cities and towns in England and Scotland.
The promoter says fears over coronavirus are the reason, citing “latest developments over local lockdowns” make the gigs unable to go ahead.

Leicester was the first city the UK to be put into a local lockdown earlier this month.
Further local lockdowns are expected as COVID-19 cases spike in areas across the country.
