Infusing inspirations drawn from growing up in Detroit and spending his current days in Los Angeles, Latroit has most recently given us his reimagined take on an 80's hit as his first release of the year, 'Need You Tonight'.

As part of a nine-track remix EP, Kevin Saunderson and Tommy Onyx have teamed together to produce a new, Detroit-infused version of 'Need You Tonight'. But beyond simply being a solid unification of three talents, this remix serves as the final stop in a full-circle cycle for Latroit.

"I came into dance music in Detroit when I played in Kevin's group Inner City at the height of their success with 'Big Fun'& 'Good Life'. He introduced me to this world when it first started, and I wouldn't be here without him," he shared. "Tommy Onyx was in Inner City when I was, and has been one of Kevin's closest collaborators over the years. It meant a lot to me the they came in on this one."

In fact, the trio had such an incredible time working on the remix together that Latroit wasn't ready to end the fun there. His next single will be a collaboration with Inner City, so be sure to stay tuned for that one.

Properly drenched in techno infusions that would make the city proud, Mixmag receives the first listen of the Kevin Saunderson x Tommy Onyx remix of Latroit's 'Need You Tonight', below.
