Kyiv’s Closer nightclub to host fundraiser parties in Berlin
The events will take place at Zenner in Berlin’s Treptow-Köpenick
Kyiv-based nightclub Closer is set to host two fundraiser events in Berlin over the coming months to raise money for volunteering efforts in Ukraine.
The nightclub, which sits west of Kyiv’s creative centre of Podil, features DJs from around the world specialising in techno and experimental electronic music.
For the first time outside of its home of Kyiv, Closer will be taking its events to Berlin’s Treptow-Köpenick, where two events will take place at Zenner.

The first of the two fundraiser events will go ahead on July 30, kicking off at 10:PM. The first party includes artists such as Vera, Alex Savage, and Evan Baggs, as well as live sets from Lobanov K. and Kör Boira.
On August 30, the second event welcomes in three names so far: Fumiya Tanaka, Timur Basha, and Zip, with more to be announced.
“We are happy to acknowledge, that for many visitors, dancing, listening and interacting at Closer became literally a life-changing experience in many unique ways, not just an entertainment,” reads the event’s description.

“Closer has been renowned for its warm atmosphere of mutual respect, sharing, and caring. Today, Closer is doing its best to help Ukraine. Along with this, we were looking for a place to make parties in Berlin.”
Both parties will continue until midday the next afternoon featuring both experimental sets and indoor club parties.
Those working for the Ukraine club were granted permission to leave the country and take the club to Berlin via Ukraine’s ministry of culture.
All money raised from the events will go toward humanitarian aid and “appropriate volunteer organisations in Ukraine”, according to the team.
