This eight release follows on from Sweet Tooth T's rendition of Chemise 'She Can't Love You'. As a release we thought that was rather unnessecary as it did nothing to better the classic (and now totally overplayed) original. However, with 'I Wanna Be Your Dog, Manchester icon Kermit Leveridge (of Black Grape and The Super Weird Society fame) remakes the Stooges rock classic (or the Iscii Disko electro-punk classice - depending on your persuasion.) It's a driving piece of punk-disco that reminds us of some of the early Todd Terje curveball edits that he would throw into his sets. The drums are crips, the bass clean and low, while the guitars are made to sound like synths. Kermit's vocals are echoed with vocodered backing singers / robots. It's all very full on and Madchester...you could see more plays from the electro-clash massive as opposed to the pure disco deviants.
