Kanye West is listening to deadmau5 in the studio with Pete Rock
Drawing on influences from the mau5trap boss
A video of Kanye West and Pete Rock working in the studio has recently surfaced, but the pair of producers are listening to something that many might find surprising - a new deadmau5 track titled ‘Snowcone’.
Kanye, who was most recently in headlines when he was admitted to the hospital and for cancelling the remaining dates of his tour, has a rocky history with the mau5 that surfaced through a Twitter spat earlier this year. However, it seems as though both of the big artist personas have been able to set aside their differences.
West, who is seen in a studio session with legendary producer Pete Rock, who has worked on material for the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan and J Dilla, for his forthcoming album ‘Turbo Grafx 16’. Rock films a short clip of them listening to ‘Snowcone’, a track off deadmau5’s new album W:/ALBUM2016, a track that could influence hip-hop material with its steady flow and downtempo essence.
It's easy to hear a lyricist laying down a verse or two on top of it... we can only hope.
