Joyce Muniz links up with Theus Mago for feisty Italo disco cut

Joyce Muniz has teamed up with producer Theus Mago to share new track 'Balin Bali'.

The cut is punchy and infused with Italo Disco throughout. It builds with a sleek arpeggio, bubbling away alongside subtle robotic FX before a flurry of melody seeps in amidst a reverb-fuelled backdrop.

Soon enough, a tense breakdown is introduced by feisty pads, led by pitched-up vocals before a boisterous synth replenishes the track's intensity upon the drop.

“I've been friends with Theus Mago for a couple of years and I'm a huge fan of his productions," Muniz explains. "Last year, I got a little bit lost with my creativity and asked Theus to send me some unfinished sketches so I could work on them.

"'Balin Bali' was one of the ideas that I really liked. Theus sent me his parts and I basically finished it with recording a new bass adding some new drums and leads. I also changed the arrangements completely. Theus loved it and he mixed it.

"The funny fact is that 'Balin Bali' was the project name that we had from the beginning on, after playing in Bali for the first time this year, I realised that the tune really fits in on the island.”
