Sally C announces third instalment of 'Big Saldo's Chunkers'

Sally C has announced the return of her popular 'Big Saldo's Chunkers' series, marking the third instalment.

'Big Saldo's Chunkers' first launched in 2020, with the original '001' offering currently on its fourth repress. With cuts from the series typifying the Sally C 'chunker' sound, influences are drawn from the sensibilities of classic US house music, artists inspiring the producer and DJ including K-Hand and Fast Eddie.

With the full four-tracker landing on July 13, the announcement for '003' was accompanied by the release of lead track 'All Love'. The cut is a slice of euphoric house, topped with a piano breakdown and infectious vocal. It swaps the trademark Sally C bassline for groove, with this switch-up exampling the evolution in her work:

“I wanted to challenge myself when writing this record. I still haven’t released a full EP on another label, so I wanted to pair straight up Chunkers with something a bit different to shake up the Chunker energy," Sally C explains.

Following opener 'All Love' are infectious tracks 'Hit It' and 'Control'. One a hip house-informed affair, the other a low-slung, afterparty-prime jam, the record is rounded off with the 144bpm 'Get Up'.

“I wasn’t sure how this would fit on the record being this speed, but it’s exactly what I envisioned when I wanted to challenge myself more," Sally continues on the closing track. "It’s raw and rolling and as soon as I made it, I knew it fitted into the Chunker family."

'Big Saldo's Chunker 003' is set for release on July 13. In the meantime, you can check out lead single 'All Love', available now, here.
