Josh Baker lands on Three Six Zero with new single 'Something To Me'

Josh Baker has released his new single, 'Something To Me'.

Available via Three Six Zero, the track is a vibrant cut primed for summer, as warm synths intertwine with a soulful vocal. Even ahead of its release, not only has it been supported by names including Chris Stussy, Skream, Prospa and I.JORDAN, but social media has also caught on.

A short teaser of the track posted by Josh on TikTok has garnered over 100,000 views, with its TikTok 'sound' - a feature on the platform whereby users can create their own content overlaying music, or a sound, of their choice - being used over 200 times already.

"The buzz around the tune has been wild," he says to Mixmag. "It started with a preview of it being posted on my socials to then endless requests from people asking me to drop it at gigs. It quickly became the stand out tune in my sets, capturing everyone’s attention when the bass rips and the vocal comes in. It’s also the first time I’ve worked with a vocalist so feels like a pivotal moment for myself as a producer."

It's a particularly busy period for Baker, who, alongside his label and party You&Me - which just hosted its debut at Sonar, Barcelona, and has a one-off event planned at Cova Santa in Ibiza this summer - runs Manchester-based festival Hide and Seek.

Taking place next month amidst a backdrop where it has been reported that over 40 UK festivals have been cancelled this summer, names on the billing include Chaos in the CBD, Chris Stussy and Dan Shake.

"Hide&Seek really has had blood, sweat and tears go into it over the last 5 years," he adds. "It’s surreal to see what it’s become and I couldn’t be prouder of the team. This year is going to be our biggest yet and I can’t wait for people to see what’s in store."
