When will Ivy Lab do something wrong? Every release from Stray, Sabre and Halogenix's project sends us into a total frenzy, and it's definitely fair to say that we've got another mighty fine d'n'b group on our hands.

Now, finally, comes the debut album the drum 'n' bass world's been itching to hear – the first on their 20/20 label –and gosh, it's just as dangerous as you'd have hoped.

Don't expect a treadmill-tuned or uptempo soundtrack, just hefty smacks of brick wall bass ('Rorschach') and sizzling hot synths ('Third World Cop'), with lots and lots of dread-filled weaponry and some spicy splashes of soul and zip to garnish it.

Let's have a round of applause then, please, for the new darlings of d'n'b.
