Is Text Records the Label Of The Decade? Vote now
Founded by Kieren Hebden, aka Four Tet, in 2001, Text Records serves as the home for much of his own material, but also has put out numerous acclaimed releases. The label began by releasing albums by Hebden’s post-rock band Fridge, evolving to focus more on electronic music by the late 2000s while continuing to showcase a plethora of unique styles. Its catalogue includes Four Tet’s collaborations with Burial, ‘Moth / Wolf Cub’, ‘Ego / Mirror’ and ‘Nova’, as well as Daphni’s ‘Ye Ye’, Anthony Naples’ ‘Body Pill’ album and Hebden’s Percussions material.
