Monstercat arrives out of Vancouver, Canada from co-founders Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen. The indie label was born out of a casual YouTube curation playlist and in 2011, became an official imprint that has consistently gone against the grain of a traditional label format. Monstercat brings on its artists through a non-exclusive, single-track format and is heavily integrated into the digital landscape with live streams on Twitch, a weekly podcast and more.
