Amnesia has revealed that the legendary Ibiza nightclub will be returning at full force this spring.
Following yesterday’s news that nightclubs across the island have been given the green light to reopen in April, Amnesia has announced its return with a “mouthwatering” line-up, yet to be announced.
Amnesia was one of two nightclubs to host opening parties last season, with a closing party the very next day due to a short-lived lift of restrictions.
The club now promises plenty of new changes, a specially curated programme, and fresh production to one-up last year’s back-to-back opening and closing event.

Yesterday, El País reported that Spain’s infection rate fell for the first time in two and a half months. Subsequently, more discussions around the easing of restrictions across the country and Spain’s islands were opened.
“All of the island’s major nightlife enterprises are actively working this winter to prepare for the season,” said head of Ibiza nightlife institution, José Luis Benítez. “This summer, the discotheques will be able to open,” he confirmed.
COVID passports will be clubgoers one requirement for entry, according to Benítez. “The idea is that the opening will be at the end of April, two weeks ahead of what is normally done,” he said.

The prolonged season will then run “until October… November if all goes well”, he assured. Ibiza’s 2022 season has been in talks since the announcement that the island’s annual International Music Summit would take place for the first time in two years.
Benítez also said that he understood the urge to reopen the clubs after nightclub owners had been flooded with questions on “whether they are opening this year and when”.
