Ian Pooley (Bicep Remix)

Ian Pooley's discography is a staggering read. He's been active for more than two decades, has released over 10 albums and and a countless amount of EPs, and that's just under his Pooley guise.

He's responsible for some of our favourite remixes ever, including his sunshine-drenched edit or 'Regulate' by Phil & Dan and his serene, disco-flecked version of 'Chord Memory' by Daft Punk. Basically, Ian's a legend and now it's time for him to welcome a set of remixes from some fellow whirlwind producers.

Pooley's 1998 'Meridian' is one of his most-lauded albums to date and not only can fans look forward grabbing the long player for the first time in digital format, but there's also some wicked new remixes to accompany it.

Oskar Offermann and Mathias Schober both turn in fantastic edits but here we concentrate on Bicep's remix of 'Cold Wait' and it's pretty damn special. It's no secret that the boys from Belfast have been at the top of their game of late and that's not showing any signs of changing. We were lucky enough to catch the duo play all night long at Good Room in NYC and when they dropped their Pooley remix, that's when we saw it really work its magic.

Glitzy chord stabs are set against a thick and chunky bassline while the percussion scuttles along in the background and, although it's more reserved than their recent output, it goes down in the rave and still keeps that textbook Pooley feel intact.

The 'Meridian' remixes will be released on June 17 via Pooledmusic
