Glasgow’s PLTFRM FSTVL postponed due to licence delays
The festival, which was due to take place next month, expressed frustration with the local council
Glasgow’s PLTFRM FSTVL, which was due to go ahead next month from June 29 - 30, has been postponed due to licence delays.
The festival announced the news on Instagram yesterday, May 29, expressing frustration with the local council and authorities, explaining: “We are devastated to announce that we have been forced to move our summer PLTFRM back to our usual September weekend.”
PLTFRM added that they didn’t see this decision coming, particularly after following the “same procedures for the last 11 years and even providing more documentation this time around”.

They wrote: “Unfortunately last week we were informed that due to limited resources at Glasgow City Council & local authorities, they can’t authorise the final part of our licence in time”.
The festival added that they even had MPs “fighting our corner” to authorise the event in time. “We find this frustrating, soul-destroying, and now comes at a huge logistical & financial loss,” they added.
This year’s event was due to mark the festival’s 10th anniversary, taking place under a railway bridge in Tradeston, Glasgow, featuring the likes of Bailey Ibbs, Narciss, Estella Boersma, Chlär, and more.
PLTFRM will now take place from September 28 - 29 in the same location. “Although things are still going ahead, we have put a lot of work into offering you all a summer project and this is something we will still continue to push for in the future,” they explained.

Despite the festival’s postponement, PLTFRM BY NIGHT will continue to go ahead over the original dates with a nighttime programme across two clubs: Ferry and Sub Club. The line-ups are due to be announced today, May 30.
As an incubator for new talent, the festival’s INTRO stage will become a “long-term” staple pushing “the next generation of Scottish talent”, now the centre of a new party series run by PLTFRM.
“As a thank you for the support and to give back to the scene during this time, we have decided to make the launch of our INTRO party this Thursday 30th May at Sub Club a free party, so please get down and support your local DJs,” they said.
