Fred Perry and Miles Kane link up for a collection with a modernist twist

Fred Perry’s Laurel Wreath has been adopted by musicians for decades, but in recent years it's British musician Miles Kane who has become synonymous with the brand.

For AW19, the pair have teamed up to bring us a collection of slim silhouettes and luxe fabrics, all showcasing Miles’ unique and eclectic sense of style, blended with traditional Fred Perry heritage.

The collection - designed for men and women - features Miles Kane himself and British model Dylan Weller.

The Fred Perry Shirt comes re-imagined in three iterations, with shiny, textured pique, subtle two-tone effect and a shiny gold zip in place of the button placket. Miles continues to put his spin on other classic Fred Perry shapes, like the V-neck jumper, which he adapts in a lightweight metallic fabric, and the classic tennis bomber, which has a Houndstooth design. This bomber jacket is designed to be worn with the tailored trousers: a sports-inspired take on the suit.

A stand-out piece in the collection is the tracksuit with flock leopard design, fitted with Miles’ signature cropped leg, slim silhouette and gold trims. Inspired by his love of peacock dressing and life on the road, the tracksuit takes its cue from one of Miles’ favourite warm-up outfits.

The faux-fur pea coat is the collection’s grande finale. Made in rich cotton velvet with a full faux-fur lining, it adopts the classic pea coat shape. Inspired by the British subcultural uniform.

The collection will be available online and in select Fred Perry shops from 24th October 2019.
