Frank Ocean's 2016 albums will not be considered for Grammys
Both 'Blonde' and 'Endless' are out of the running
Despite frenzy and wide celebration around the drawn-out release of Frank Ocean's 'Blonde' and his prior visual album 'Endless', neither albums will be considered for Grammy nominations for 2017.
The cutoff for consideration was September 30, and though both albums were released at the end of August - leaving plenty of time for submission - neither were entered and therefore, are unable to be considered for nominations.
It's unclear whether the decision to withhold Ocean's albums from Grammy consideration was a purposeful maneuver or an unfortunate oversight.
