Donations are being taken now

Fabric has launched a campaign to challenge its closure.

Donations are being accepted online as the club seeks to raise funds to aid its forthcoming legal battle, with Four Tet contributing £1000.

In a statement online, fabric noted the wider impact of the decision to revoke its license and dangerous precedent it sets for UK nightlife, writing: “This is not how it ends. The police have revoked our licence to present music, art and culture; something we have been doing with great pride for nearly two decades. They abused archaic licencing laws in order to close us down and they will continue to do so if we do not come together and take action now. This is about more than fabric – an entire way of life is under threat.”

The minimum donation is £10, with all contributors having their name added to a piece of bespoke fabric campaign artwork. Pledges of £30 or more fabric will be rewarded with an exclusive #savefabric t-shirt.

Head to fabric’s website to donate now.
