Elsewhere, Fontaines D.C. picked up the Best Independent Album Award for their fourth studio record ‘Romance’, released by XL Recordings last year.
Founding Throbbing Gristle member and industrial music trailblazer Cosey Fanni Tutti bagged the Innovator Award for her contributions to music as one of the first female independent label founders.
“Everything I’ve done has been totally independent. This is really special because innovation and independence really are sisters with me,” she said as she picked up the award.

Meanwhile, XL Recordings was named Best Independent Label, while AD 93 won the Best Boutique Label Award. Bury’s Wax & Beans also won in a new category, Best Independent Record Store.
Ezra Collective, who received three nominations this year, took home the Best Independent Track Award for their recent hit ‘God Gave Me Feet For Dancing’ featuring Yazmin Lacey.
“Songs represent moments and this moment means a lot to us,” said drummer Femi Koleoso. “A lot of these moments exist because of people providing them, like The Roundhouse does for young people.”
