Essential: Pangaea on Solid Steel Radio

Pangaea isn't known for taking prisoners during his notorious, white-knuckle sets. On this, his mix for Ninja Tune’s Solid Steel Radio Show, he delivers a fair representation of what he’s playing out right now. Full of unreleased and up-to-the-minute tracks, this is an hour-long exposition on how Kevin McAuley is currently structuring his sets.

Pangaea released his debut album 'In Drum Play' last year on Hessle Audio. This year, as his label celebrates its 10th birthday, the London-based artist is touring the US alongside label-mates Pearson Sound and Ben UFO.

Hessle Audio played a pivotal role in defining the UK's post-dubstep musical landscape. Many under-25s found their way into dance music via the label's take on the roots dubstep sound.
