Essential: Boys Noize's remix of Justice's 'Randy'

Late last year Justice released ‘Woman’, which included a certain funk-driven track called ‘Randy’. A few months ago, a remix of said track started doing the rounds, popping up in Justice’s live sets. Some assumed this was simply a refix by Justice themselves.

But they were wrong. The new version of the track is vastly different. The sugary vocals of the original have been chopped and pitch-bent to their natural limit. Instead of a slow groove, the track twists and turns.

It’s now clear that Justice aren’t behind this dynamic rethink, Boys Noize is.

This remix comes courtesy of seminal Parisian label Ed Banger as it celebrates its 100th release on May 12. ‘Randy (Boys Noize Remix)’ comes from that compilation and injects new life into a modern classic.
