Elon Musk says he has "more than 100 deep house" tracks to release

The SpaceX founder has been as electric as Tesla - where he is CEO - in the studio, first surprising us with a euphoric slice of progressive house. Now he's revealed he has "more than 100 deep house" songs in the bank.

For someone with fingers in so many pies, it's no shock he's quickly got bored with the progressive sound, instead wanting to go as deep as the space explorations taken out by SpaceX's spacecrafts.

Speaking to Universe Trax, Elon revealed he decided to delve deeper into the house sounds after watching a restream of Disclosure's 2016 set at Coachella.

"I was just totally blown away by them [Disclosure]. So fresh, so smooth. Just so, so deep. Like, deeper than deep. I decided that's how deep I wanted to go.

"You know how YouTube is. After that Disclosure set I got taken on a 'Suggested for you' journey of Pépé Bradock, DJ Koze, Mathew Herbert, Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard. All of those guys."

Musk said it was after this YouTube rabbit hole all-nighter that he stocked up on food and drink and got in the studio.

"I bought myself a crate of Mars milkshakes, because that's what I drink when I work, and locked myself away in the studio. I really got to work. Tune after tune after tune. I'd say I've got more than 100 deep house tunes ready. I can't wait to launch them into the world."

It's just a matter of time, then, until we hear a bunch of cuts inspired by Kerri Chandler's 'Hemisphere', Larry Heard's 'Alien' and Fred P's '4th Dimension'. We're sure Disclosure's 'Apollo' would have had an influence, too.

It shouldn’t be too long until we see Elon's releases stocked in London record shop Sounds of the Universe, then.
