Ellen Allien flaunts raw techno on new label UFO Inc
Ellen Allien is launching a new techno label with the release of a solo EP
Ellen Allien is marking the launch of her brand new label, UFO Inc, with a solo EP, dropping on vinyl and digitally on January 28.
The EP features the track ‘UFO’, which focuses on playful textures that intertwine with heavier beats, and was on heavy rotation by Ellen all summer.
‘Körpermaschine’ accompanies the title track, described as a harsh and acidic belter where its robotic hypnotism mirrors UFO Inc’s more direct, straight-talking side.
The Berlin-born DJ intends for the imprint to showcase the rougher side of modern techno with touches of the unconventional, to reflect the idea of this music acting as a medium between heaven and earth.
The label will also soon be home to releases from Alien Rain and Regal in the near future.
