Eda Eren releases new infectious UKG track 'I Got You'

Eda Eren has released her latest single, 'I Got You'.

Embracing sounds of UK Garage in combination with the soul singer's trademark vocals, it follows on from Eren's previous dabbling in electro groove and club banger sounds.

It's also a tune that has been under wraps for a few years now, and was initially recorded at Dappy's Camden studio.

“I wrote this years ago at an after party thinking about a guy I really fancied," she explains. "You just can’t get your mind off of him and all you want to do is leave your friends and see him. It’s about being a couple but just not being able to get him off your mind. I say this is almost like pleading or begging for affection by someone with high walls."

Dubbing her new single a "showstopper", it also pays homage to her upbringing and influences. "The garage vibe highlights my Londoner roots with glimpses of Turkish influence woven into the track," explains Eren. "I have performed this song at many venues in front of many amazing people and now years later it is ready for your ears. People were singing along and dancing and smiles all around, giving that club feeling."

It seems that Eren is enjoying heading down the dance-floor ready route with her music: tune "Red and Green" was remixed by Jazztronica's Blue Lab Beats into a mid-tempo burner.
