Fiasco! announces new residency at Corsica Studios

Fiasco! has found a home in Corsica Studios, with a new residency set to kick off tomorrow (May 31).

Set to make its Elephant and Castle debut, the Black-owned queer party will celebrate its new digs this Friday with sets from C.FRIM, Reece Spooner, Jay Duncan and a special b2b from Danielle and Amaliah.

The brainchild of London-based DJ and promoter Reece Spooner, Fiasco! began life as a monthly event at East London's Dalston Superstore in 2018.

Since then, Fiasco! has taken its scandalous mixture of house, techno, UK garage, Jersey Club, footwork and more to Body Movements, fabric's Room 3 and MOT Unit.

Last year, as part of Mixmag's Functions series, we spoke to Fiasco! Editor-in-Chief Reece Spooner who shared that Fiasco!'s mission is about "uplifting and showcasing Black and queer DJs and performers."

"I want it to be somewhere that was fun, somewhere that is irreverent, somewhere that you can play bangers, somewhere where you can play songs people know — you can play anything, do anything and people can lose themselves," he said.
