Chris Barratt aka Eagles & Butterflies has had a pretty strong start to the year. He's played at both Storyland Festival in Columbia and BPM Festival with John Digweed at the Bedrock party this month and his release schedule is looking busy as well.

The former Innervisions-man impressed us last year with a slew of stellar EPs, one of which included the track 'Love' on Noir Music that we premiered back in September.

He's also just released a new one via Get Physical featuring regular collaborator J.U.D.G.E on vocals, but the track we premiere today has already been building up steam since last summer and it's no surprise as to why.

If Dixon drops your track in a set, you can almost guarantee that it's going to get a lot of hype right off the bat and when he surprised everyone with a Boiler Room last year, one of the stand-out tracks was an untitled cut from Eagles & Butterflies.

Finally 'Shinto' gets an official release and we can see this one working-up any dancefloor that it graces. The frisky riffs are the main crux of the track but once you factor in tribal percussion and drops that roll gleefully in-and-out of focus, you've got a track fit for King Dixon.

The 'Mysticism' EP will be released soon, head over to the Muting The Noise website to grab the vinyl
