Dr. Dre opens up about suffering brain aneurysm
“I’m feeling fantastic”
After suffering health problems in January, Dr. Dre has opened up about his treatment.
The rapper suffered a brain aneurysm and was rushed to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Hospital. After being discharged, he was seen in a studio, potentially working on ‘Detox’, his much anticipated album.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, he said: “It’s a really weird thing. I’ve never had high blood pressure. And I’ve always been a person that has always taken care of my health. But there’s something that happens for some reason with Black men and high blood pressure, and I never saw that coming. But I’m taking care of myself."

He continued: “I think every Black man should just check that out and make sure things are OK with the blood pressure.
“I’m going to move on and, hopefully, live a long and healthy life. I’m feeling fantastic.”
‘Detox’ was set to follow ‘2001’ - but Dr Dre stopped working on the album in 2015 due to feeling as if the sessions were not yielding the results he wanted.
